Intensive Massage Therapy Course
11th October 2018
Essence of Fiji Group was pleased to work with The Ministry of Youth and Sports to provide an intensive 2-week Massage Therapy course at Essence of Fiji Rejuvenation Centre in Nadi. The 2-week Massage Therapy course was followed by workplace attachments with Senikai Spas and Essence of Fiji Transit Spa – students gain real experience working in Fiji’s Beauty & Spa Industry.
The Intensive Massage Therapy Course focused on Swedish Neuromuscular Massage and Shiatsu Massage. Students successfully completing their workplace attachment placements have a high chance of being offered permanent employment.

The Massage Therapy course was fully funded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, meaning all those who took part were able to participate for free and learn vital new skills which are valued in Fiji’s Spa Industry. On successful completion of attachment placements, students will graduate and receive their certificate in Massage Therapy.
This initiative came from Essence of Fiji Group Founder Debra Sadranu, who wanted to provide opportunities for Fiji’s LGBT community. Debra, who currently employs 30 people across the Spa & Health group of companies, actively encourages equal opportunities for all.
